Does your school expect you to pay for your own supplies?

I know that in a lot of districts, budgets are very tight, and I've heard that in some cases, if teachers want even the most basic supplies like paper, they have to buy it themselves.

What is your school like? Are you expected to buy stuff out of your own pocket? Is it an unreasonable amount? How do you deal with it?

Textbooks, graph paper, regular paper, staples, white board markers, all provided by the school. Anything beyond that and I have to pick it up myself. I don't mind, because it's just incidental stuf... Read more
